why Benue State?
Benue State, Nigeria’s “Food Basket of the Nation,” has been devastated by years of farmer–herder clashes and violent conflicts. The farmer–herder clashes in Benue have caused mass displacement and loss of life, destroyed farms and homes, crippled livelihoods, and left once-thriving communities in fear. These crises have fueled poverty and hunger, eroded trust in governance, and fractured social harmony across the state and Nigeria at Large. If Benue’s issues are resolved, the impact on Nigeria would be profound. As the “Food Basket of the Nation,” restoring peace in Benue would revive large-scale agricultural production, strengthening food security not just for the state but for the entire country.

What We Do
SESE Empowerment Initiative Foundation (SEIF) is working toward measurable transformation in Nigeria by empowering youth and women with skills and financial literacy, strengthening inclusive governance through civic education and policy advocacy, advancing education with literacy and digital programs, boosting food security through agribusiness and cooperative farming, fostering peace with dialogue and rehabilitation initiatives, and ensuring sustainability through continuous monitoring, reporting, and strategic partnerships.
